The Road
I read Cormac McCarthy’s The Road this week. It is the saddest, most disturbing novel I have read in years. Haunting, yet poignant. Makes me want to hold my kids close.

I leafed through it and didn't like the font (am very shallow). But the truth is, I am already in too much pain (re: football nonsense)!
Still, the notion of "Armageddon" couldn't be more relevant right now.
...finding the Middle Way out is exceptionally difficult because so few understand where the boundaries lie.

I couldn't agree with you more DC on the Middle Way. Yes, this is not a book to read if one is already feeling burdened. It would be especially upsetting to vegans.
I have to admit I didn't even notice the font. I wouldn't call such font preferences shallow. I'd call it a fine attention to detail.
