Obama
It's a little early to be thinking about 2008, but from everything I've read and heard, I believe Barack Obama might offer a more civilized, less vindictive type of politics. We'll see.

I heard him speak in person a year ago, and he is inspiring.

I recommend his current book, Audacity of Hope, to get a candid perspective on his view of the world. People have knocked it because it is short on specific policy proposals, but in my view it was intended to be a book on political philosophy, not a campaign playbook.

I am not American, obviously, but have been keeping my eye on Mr. Obama lately. Ditto the Australian media.
Everything seems to be in his favour (esp. his highly accomplished wife, according to our media over here), but his ability to raise funds (c.f. to Senator Clinton).
But what I am more interested in is, is he experienced enough to lead the world's most powerful nation?
